Duke's Tools · Included with every membership

Your watch list. Your tickets.
Your numbers, done right.

Duke's Tools is the members' side of Duke's Picks. A watch list that emails you the morning a horse you are following is entered. A ticket builder that keeps a Pick 5 inside the money you meant to spend. The arithmetic behind every win bet, so you never talk yourself into a bad price. On your phone and on your desk, nothing to install.

What's inside

Five tools, one sign-in.

Each one does a job a serious horseplayer used to do on paper, a spreadsheet, or not at all. None of them picks horses for you. That part is still yours, and Duke's.

The Watch List: horses running today with post time, morning line, your stars and your note

Watch List

Never miss a horse you were waiting on.

Add a horse, a trainer, a jockey or an owner. The morning one of them is entered, it is on your list with the track, the race, the post time and the morning line, and if you want, in your inbox at 7am. Star the ones you like, keep a note on each, and see where they finished the same day.

Featured Track and Members' Room. VIPs also follow Duke's own watch list, updated as he works.

Horizontal Tickets: grade a horse in every leg of a Pick 5 and the ticket prices itself to your budget

Horizontal Tickets

Build the Pick 5 you meant to build.

Doubles through the Pick 6. Tap a horse in each leg to grade it: cover, live, strong, single. The ticket prices itself as you go, weights your money toward the horses you trust, and never spends past the budget you set. Copy it, print it, or export it straight to your betting account.

Members' Room.

Dutching: three horses ticked with their odds, the stake on each and what you collect

Dutching

Three horses, one bet, same return whichever wins.

Tick the horses you like in a race, and the stakes work themselves out so you collect the same amount whichever one gets there. Type the odds, or switch to live odds and watch the numbers move with the board. It also tells you the one thing that matters: how often, between them, they have to win.

Featured Track and Members' Room.

Break Even: the price on the board against how often you think the horse wins, and whether the bet pays

Break Even

Is the price worth it? Now you know.

A win bet is worth making when the horse wins more often than the price says it needs to. Pick the price, say how often you think the horse wins, and see whether the two agree. Then the same horse at every price on the board, green where it pays and red where it does not.

The Dashboard: Duke's watch list today, your own runners, every track racing today with first post and scratches, and the news

Dashboard

The day, on one screen.

Duke's list today, your list today, every track racing with its first post, the scratches and changes as they come in, and the racing news. Arrange it the way you like it and it stays that way, on the phone and on the desk.

Featured Track and Members' Room. Duke's list on it is for the Members' Room.

Coming next: live odds, and wagering reports that show you where your money actually goes.

Questions

A few straight answers.

Is it an app I have to download?

No. It runs in the browser on your phone and your computer at tools.dukespicks.com. Sign in once with the email you joined with and you stay signed in on that device.

Does it give me picks?

No. The tools keep your work organised and your money honest. The horses are still yours to find, and Duke's read on the featured meet is in the community, where it has always been.

Does it cost extra?

No. It is part of every membership, day pass to yearly. Featured Track gets the card-reading tools; the Members' Room gets everything, including Duke's own watch list and the ticket builder.

What happens to my lists if I take a month off?

They wait for you. Your watch list, your notes and your settings stay with your account, and they are all there the day you come back.
